If you’re looking for an album to deliver a small town USA feel mixed in with a bar fight or two, look no further than Christian Kane’s debut album ‘The House Rules.’ The songs combine a hearty mix of down home country with the cutting edges of rock to create music that is both enjoyable and memorable. And with summer right around the corner, you’re going to want something to blast in your car with the windows rolled down.
The title tune of the track is the anthem for any blue collar man or woman looking for a good time after a hard work week, and these good times can be found with just a single listen through of the album.
But don’t worry, because if you listen once you’ll want to listen again and again.
Don’t be quick to assume that Kane only provides hard rocking songs however. There are also great ballads included on the album, including ‘Making Circles’ and ‘Thinking Of You,’ which was included in an episode of TNT’s ‘Leverage’ (of which Kane also stars.) B+
