I know that this is generally a strictly entertainment-related blog, but I wanted to acknowledge the fact that summer is almost over.
I know this is a terrible, terrible thought to comprehend, but we all have to face the music someday.
And since I’m leaving to head back to Ohio University in less than two weeks, I wanted to take a look back and remember the best week of my summer vacation 2011. The week just happened to be spent in Charleston, South Carolina, a city rich with history, good food, and even better people.
The week was full of firsts for me. It was the first time I’d ever seen the ocean; the first time I’d ever stepped foot on a beach for that matter. The trip marked the first time I’d driven 12 straight hours in a car, and my all too important first trip to a Piggly Wiggly grocery store.
It was wonderful, relaxing and the perfect retreat during an otherwise uneventful summer.
So, as a way of sharing my trip with you all, I’m posting a video I made after returning home. Please be aware that I spent most of the trip behind the camera, so you’ll be seeing more of my two travel companions. Plus a lot of scenery, because that’s one of my favorite aspects of a road trip.
